Recommended operating platforms and system specifications

Microcat LIVE has been tested on the following operating platforms and browsers

  • Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, Windows 7
  • Internet Explorer 6.0 - 8.0, Google Chrome 4, Firefox 3
  • Adobe Flash Player (latest version)

The following hardware configurations are recommended for an optimal experience

  • 2.4 GHz processor or greater
  • * 2GB RAM
  • 1280 x 1024 screen resolution

*It is recommended that 128MB of RAM be available for every browser session of Microcat LIVE.

Note: If required, Infomedia DMS integration requires 10MB of hard drive space and installation of the Microsoft.NET Framework.

Internet connection and browser requirements

Under normal conditions, a high-speed broadband connection with low latency, handles most of the needs of a modern dealership and Microcat LIVE. If the connection also supports internet based telephone / video calls, downloading of large files, or hosting the dealership’s website, then a higher grade line might be required. Your internet service provider can take into account your particular circumstances and advise accordingly. We can provide complimentary access to Microcat LIVE to gauge the performance over your current connection, and help your advisor tune the connection.

  • Broadband Internet access (T1, Cable, xDSL or better connection)
  • Where an Internet proxy server or firewall is being used, ensure that you have unrestricted access to “*.ifmsystems.com” and “*.microcat.net”
  • Cookies enabled
  • JavaScript enabled
  • Where the browser Popup Blocker setting is switched on - ensure that “.ifmsystems.com” and “*.microcat.net” domains are included as an exception
