What do you need to know?

Dynamic Alphanumeric Sender ID’s are not allowed in Australia. All Alphanumeric Sender ID’s must be pre-registered to send messages in Australia. Our records show that you are using an unregistered Alphanumeric Sender ID. These unregistered codes may be blocked by our carriers at any time.

Why is this happening?

In 2022, the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) approved revisions to the Scam Code. The Scam Code outlines the process for verifying that customers have a right to use an Alphanumeric Sender ID.

To remain compliant with these regulatory changes that affect the entire industry, Infomedia is requiring customers to pre-register Alphanumeric Sender ID.

What do you need to do?

Please have an authorised person within your organisation fill in the form on this page for Infomedia to send this on your behalf to the Australian Government to pre-register your company using the Alphanumeric Sender ID.

What if you don’t take action?

If you don’t take action, your messages sent using unregistered Alphanumeric Sender IDs may be blocked at any time by our carriers.

For more information on SMS requirements, please review the SMS guidelines documentation for Australia.
