Wednesday, 18 September 2007 – Sydney – Infomedia Ltd announced today that it has successfully completed negotiations with Ford Asia Pacific to renew their data license agreement for a further three years to 2010. The exclusive agreement is effective 1 July 2007 and grants Infomedia the right to use Ford proprietary automotive parts data in the production of the Microcat® electronic parts catalogue.

Infomedia General Manager Michael Roach said, “The renewal of this agreement with Ford Asia Pacific is especially satisfying; in 1990, Ford Australia (now within Ford Asia Pacific) was the first automaker we worked with to produce the Microcat system. Ford Australia dealers have been using the Microcat system in their parts operation for over 17 years. During the time we have worked together, we have enjoyed an open, consultative relationship with Ford Asia Pacific who, like Infomedia, wants to deliver a world class parts catalogue solution to improve the profitability, efficiency and accuracy of the Ford dealership parts operation.”

Microcat is currently used by over 2,600 Ford Asia Pacific dealership subscribers and more than 53,000 subscribers across 160 countries. To support the global user base, the system is available in 28 languages. In the Asia Pacific region alone the product is available in eight languages, including; Chinese, English, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese, Thai, and Vietnamese. While Infomedia is headquartered in Australia, the Company truly operates with a global perspective and understands the importance of delivering the product and supporting materials in the user’s local language.

In June this year Infomedia announced the successful renewal of data license agreements with Ford Europe and Ford North America. Earlier this month, the Company also announced the renewal of its agreement with Ford Mexico.
