Thursday, 22 March 2007 – Sydney – Infomedia today announced that the Company has entered into a three year contract with Toyota Motor Sales, USA (TMS) for the development of an integrated online genuine parts sales solution tailor made for transacting between Toyota dealers and the collision repair industry. The system, to be released within the USA, provides the framework to provide access to better parts information to the collision industry while providing efficiencies up and down the supply chain.
Infomedia’s powerful new ordering system, Auto PartsBridge™ facilitates collision estimates being received and reviewed by Toyota dealers electronically. Auto PartsBridge is designed to increase transparency of all parts required for a collision repair and helps Toyota dealerships provide higher quality service to their collision repair customers. At the same time, the system provides extremely accurate parts data to the shops to help them prepare more accurate estimates and improve their production processes.
Karl Krug, Senior Wholesale Collision Parts Administrator at TMS said, “Access to the best possible parts information is the first step in addressing many of the frustrations faced by collision centres. It was critical for Toyota to find a business partner who can help us provide this data in a way that offers the full value of the data, yet is simple for the shops to use and understand. What impressed us most about Infomedia was their dedication to understanding the end users and designing a system that is primarily built around the needs of the dealerships and collision centres.”
Infomedia CEO, Gary Martin, said, “Infomedia has worked with TMS since 2002 when the Microcat® electronic parts catalogue system was first introduced to Toyota dealers in the United States. This latest project demonstrates TMS’s innovative thinking and continual efforts to sell more Toyota parts. I am excited about Auto PartsBridge and the opportunities it creates for Infomedia in this new market segment of the automotive industry. We’re delighted that Toyota has chosen Infomedia as their partner for this latest industry leading solution.”
A pilot program for the product is due to commence in April 2007 in selected markets across the United States.
