Skills & Experience
The Senior Business Analyst will need to have a combination of technical, business and interpersonal skills to perform the role effectively.
- Attention to detail in preparing, writing, editing project documentation
- Proven knowledge and experience with business analysis tools, procedures and techniques, such as UML, BPMN
- Good working knowledge on data concepts, data models, wireframes, use cases, user stories
- Familiarity with project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall
- Excellent analytical skills – problem solve, investigate, collect, analyse, and present to project stake holders (internal and external)
- Familiar with APIs, data transfer methods, network protocols
- Understanding and familiarity with writing and optimizing SQL queries to retrieve, insert, update, and delete data in a database
- Understanding of Automotive Retail domain, industry, market preferred but not essential
Job Responsibilities
As a Senior Business Analyst, the core responsibilities of the role are to plan, manage and execute business analysis activities.
- Lead and own product concepting, product modeling, product design, and business analysis activities throughout the project lifecycle
- Participate in project estimation, project prioritization, project planning and project resource scheduling
- Client led projects – collaborate with Service Delivery Manager’s (SDM), Account Managers and Sales Managers to capture and document project requirements
- Roadmap & Tech Support projects – collaborate with Service Delivery Manager’s (SDM), Customer Service Centre (CSC), Production Support, System Support and QA colleagues to capture and document project requirements
- Create, write, publish project functional and technical Scope of Work (SOW) documents defining project requirements, deliverables, dependencies and stakeholders
- Act as a bridge between the business and technical teams, translating business needs into functional specifications, and providing guidance and support to the engineers, QA testers and support colleagues
- Consider, identify, promote the re-use or adaptability of project requirements into an existing product, application or process
