Expectations of the role

SimplePart, a product of Infomedia, is looking for full stack developer with an in-depth knowledge of SQL to join our Development Operations group. In this role you will be a key contributor in the development lifecycle for our parts ecommerce platform – helping to architect and develop new functionality (schema, sprocs, functions, etc), tune and modify existing code and participate in the management of our highly available, distributed production SQL Server infrastructure. We build, operate and market the parts ecommerce programs for the world’s top car and motorcycle manufacturers, as well as thousands of individual dealerships.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain SQL stored procedures and functions which support the ecommerce platform
• Ability to support and improve the SQL application
• Ability to work outside of standard working hours if needed for seldom incident response
• SQL Development of new functionality for our ecommerce platform
• Incident response to issues reported for the application. You will primarily be working with high priority events which require immediate or next business day resolution.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to support data-related projects and initiatives
• Once familiar with the environment, conduct SQL code review
• Create documentation of important stored procedures, functions, and tables/views.
• Become a subject matter expert for the SimplePart platform.

What you will bring

• B.S in Computer Science or prior experience with SQL, C#, and JavaScript
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong investigative and troubleshooting skills in order to resolve platform issues in a
• timely manner.
• Proven experience as an Application Developer with a core focus on the SQL language
• In depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
• Passionate about technology and constantly willing to learn new skills
• Deep understanding of core programming principles
• Ability to work independently and manage multitasking simultaneously
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
