Monday, 29 August 2016 – Sydney – Infomedia Ltd (ASX:IFM), a leader in parts and service software to the global automotive industry, announced today that current Chairman Fran Hernon will resign from the Infomedia Board effective 30 September 2016.
Last year, Ms Hernon indicated there would be a managed transformation of Infomedia’s Board as part of a succession and renewal strategy.
Ms Hernon decided that after 15 years as a Director of Infomedia and following the successful transition of operations to new CEO, Jonathan Rubinsztein and CFO, Richard Leon, it was the right time to hand over to a new Chairman.
Ms Hernon said: “I am pleased the company has turned a corner and I am confident the new leadership team will work with the Board to build Infomedia into a more profitable and focussed organisation. I have been honoured to serve on Infomedia’s Board for more than 15 years, the last two and a half as Chairman.”
Non-Executive Director Bart Vogel has been appointed Chairman, effective from 1 October 2016.
Ms Hernon said Mr Vogel brings a depth of commercial experience from a range of sectors including technology and automotive. “Mr Vogel has the respect of the Board and management and his skills and experience will serve Infomedia well as it focusses on the next stage of growth,” she said.
Mr Vogel joined the Infomedia Board in August 2015 and is a member of Infomedia’s Audit & Risk Committee and Remuneration & Nominations Committee.
Mr Vogel said: “I want to thank Ms Hernon for her dedicated service to the company over the past 15 years. Her guidance of the company through this transition phase has been a hallmark of her leadership. We wish her well in the future.
“I look forward to working with the Board, our CEO, Jonathan Rubinsztein and Infomedia’s leadership team as we enter the next exciting phase of the company’s growth journey.”
Infomedia’s Board is in the process of appointing an additional Non-Executive Director with a skill set that will complement those of the existing Directors.
